Crossfit 517 review

I had been working out for a couple of months and although I felt better, I wasn’t seeing the results I was hoping for in regards to weight loss. I joined the 6-week challenge knowing that my nutrition was a problem and that I needed a change.

Mark gave me a very specific meal plan geared toward my needs and also a recipe book that could be used with the list of foods allowed. Having a structured program that took the guesswork out was exactly what I needed, along with personalized coaching to keep me accountable.

In 6 short weeks, I lost 7.3% body fat and saw significant changes in my body. Getting my nutrition in order also made the work that I was doing in the CrossFit classes even more successful. The 6-week challenge helped me to create a healthier relationship with food and restored my self-confidence that I CAN make the changes necessary to be a healthier, happier version of myself. I started CrossFit about two years ago at the age of 51 without even knowing what CrossFit was. I just knew I needed to lose weight and get in shape. When I got to the gym and saw the workout, I admit I was intimidated, but needn’t have worried. The coaches helped me to adjust the work.

Hi! My name is Kelly Holbrook, I have been married for almost 22 years, and have 5 children. I have been fairly active my whole life, and have always done some form of exercise after having my kids. I started with yoga, then pilates, HIIT workouts in my basement, and running…a lot of running.

I even have a very physical job as I load trucks 4-5 days a week. I have also eaten clean for most of my life, and mostly low car for the past 10 years or so. As I have gotten older, I have found that those things just weren’t working for me anymore. When I came to Crossfit 517, I weighed 170 lbs and did not have the energy that I needed to keep up with my job. I try to make it to the gym 3 days a week and have been following the nutrition since July. I have found that my body needs to build muscle to burn fat, and it craves healthy carbs! The weight has literally just melted off. I am 3 lbs from goal weight at 143 lbs and feel amazing. I am excited to continue my journey with CrossFit as I keep getting stronger!
